Dump Trailer

Designed, engineered and hand crafted in Northern Ireland for maximum strength and durability.

Quad-X were pioneers in developing the commercial spec Dump Trailer for ATV, UTV and Compact Tractors.

 

Available in sizes up to 1250L the Dump Trailer is a result of years of intricate designing, rigorous testing and customer feedback considering every factor right down to how the trailer tips out a heavy load to limit the drag.

 

As a result, the Dump Trailer is one of our best selling machines built for hard work, easy tipping and hassle free emptying.

Special design for maximum strength and minimum weight

This dump trailer has been developed to a heavy duty specification for heavier loads and for use with larger ATVs and utility vehicles (UTVs) or compact tractors. By using 3-D finite element analysis on the trailer chassis and body we have been able to develop it for maximum strength and minimum weight. Press strengthened sides add to the robust body.

The trailer design creates less drag when tipping a large load.

Pivot bogie suspension

Pivot bogie suspension allows for easier towing over uneven terrain. (Not available on 800L model)

Knobby flotation tyres

Knobby flotation tyres make it suitable for wet conditions. Special heavy walled 22-11×8 tyres are used to handle heavier loads.

Swivel hitch

A swivel hitch is fitted as standard for safety.

Greasable bushes

Greasable bushes are used for long life.

Jockey wheel

The jockey wheel is fitted as standard to allow for easy coupling.

Automatic door system

The dump trailer benefits from an automatic door open/close system for quick and easy tipping. This means more time on the job without having to leave your seat.

Finish for durability

To protect your investment, the dump trailer body is shot blasted and goes through a 4 stage pre finish treatment and then a 2 stage poly coating process, to ensure a quality finish for durability and to help prevent corrosion. The two colour black/red finish creates an eye catching trailer. (Galvanised body / fully galvanised option available)

The chassis and drawbar are galvanised for durability.

We offer environmentally sound specialist coatings that offer corrosion protection from mechanical damage as well as chemical & weathering resistance. Our specialist powder coating offers an excellent long-lasting, and colour-durable quality finish that is extremely decorative and resistant to chemicals, chipping, fading and wearing.

The powder coating finish is also virtually pollution-free, with very little wastage in the application process, containing no solvents and producing almost zero volatile organic compounds.

Powder coating is finished to the British Standards BS EN 12206 : 2004 and BS EN 13438:2005

Tip Mechanism

The Dump trailer is available with either:

  • Manual Hydraulic Tip

This cost effective option allows for easy tipping in well under a minute. The removable handle can be safety clipped to the trailer body for storage.

In 2020, we purchased the 1000ltr Dump Trailer from Quad-x. Considering we are farming in Australia, the Quad-x company went over and beyond,to make sure the trailer was despatched correctly, securely packed and all paperwork properly done.
The trailer arrived and was processed without any problems, by Australian customs, thanks to the extra effort and diligence of Quad-x staff.
We purchased the trailer to make cleaning of the stables, easier. It has certainly done that. The time saved in being able to tip the trailer, rather than empty it by hand, as we had previously done, means we finish the job in half the time. The trailer is extremely strong, well made and thought out and worth every penny of its cost.
We use the trailer every day and because we have several bikes we adapted the trailer by putting the battery on the drawbar, thereby avoiding the need to wire every bike.
It is a great trailer and great asset to use. I can thoroughly recommend it and endorse the company one hundred per cent.

I was looking for a tough no nonsense tipping trailer to match the Pioneer Ranger and the Quad-X tipping trailer was the winner after looking at the spec. Good thickness of steel is used in the construction with nice heavy duty welds to hold everything together - the trailer is obviously built to be heavily used and abused. The tough galvanised no nonsense version was preferred against the painted finish and it’s working well around a 12 acre small holding/stable yard where manoeuvrability is a key requirement. The Quad-X 1000L dump trailer has been excellent: Nice quality workmanship and it does the job beautifully. It pairs really well with the Ventrac tractor and the hydraulics seem to match up perfectly. It’s very steep here and the combo of the Ventrac and Quad-X is perfect for navigating the terrain. The trees are spaced quite close together but there’s no problem at all with the maneuverability. All in all, it’s a really great piece of kit!
