Unprecedented success and market dominance of the Quad-X Wipeout has generated demand for a larger machines to be used with a tractor in larger grassland areas on weeds such as docks, nettles, thistles and bracken.   Through the development of these larger machines the operating costs of these machines will be reduced as it will allow you to do bigger areas of land in less time.

The Quad-X Tractor Mounted Weed Wiper offers massive savings on chemical over any conventional systems.  It is also equipped with unique innovative features making it the first of its kind.  The wiper is effective for weed killing in grassland and the best option for environmentally sensitive areas where conventional boom spraying is not appropriate.  Dual Roller Weed wiping with weed detection system is the most environmentally friendly approach to weed control, since only the weeds are targeted. This ensures that grass growth is not stunted and your clover is not killed. With none of the off spray associated with boom spraying, wildlife habitats are less affected and it's healthier for you too.

The Quad-X Tractor Mounted Weed Wiper is equipped with innovative dual rollers, which are highly absorbent to ensure excellent chemical retention on the surface and for excellent application to weeds. The first of these counter rotating twin rollers lifts the weed up to apply the chemical to the sensitive underside of the leaf which allows for a much faster herbicide absorption and so faster weed kill rates. The second roller rotates in the opposite direction and acts to separate out any clumps of weeds to get a more even chemical application for better weed kill results. The second roller also acts as a reservoir to absorb any excess chemical that may be on the primary roller, to minimise the risk of dripping which can cause grass to burn or even kill it.

The Quad-X tractor mounted weed wiper was developed following customer suggestions regarding larger models, suitable for areas of land with tractor access.  It is available in a variety of widths ranging from 3 m to 8.5 m.  These machines are suitable for any tractor (50 HP +) with 1 pair of hydraulic auxiliaries.

Depending on the width of the machine, it either has 1, 2 or 3 separate sections, which can be manipulated individually, via in-cab electronic controls, to follow the contours of the ground with ease.  Each wing (or section) of the machine is ground driven, to ensure that the chemical application rate is relative to the travel speed of the operating vehicle.  Further to this, each individual section of the machine has its own weed detection system which automatically applies the optimum amount of chemical to the rollers when required, thus leaving you free to concentrate on driving.  In addition to this, a chemical usage control function for optimum results is also incorporated within this system, allowing you to regulate the chemical application rate for different weed densities.  This chemical control system has been developed to reduce costs while maximising wipeout.

Quad-X have made a substantial investment over the years in technology on chemical application to the rollers, which led to the discovery of a unique atomisation process, where chemical is applied in the form of micro-bubbles which attach themselves to the rollers without bursting.  Chemical activation is enhanced since the chemical is transferred to the weeds in a bubble form.  Upon contact with the weeds the micro bubbles burst and provide a better stem coverage than the standard chemical film approach.   

All Tractor Weed Wipers are available with UV protected tanks, which is positioned on a high raised framework, enabling the operator to visually inspect the tank contents without having to leave the tractor cab.  As standard the 3m models comes with a 100L tank; larger models come with a 230L or larger tank.  On average 1 fill of the 230L tank would be sufficient to cover approximately 35-50 acres of normal density weed.
