The corrosion proof widespray alloy ATV boom is for the budget minded
user. It uses a quick fit system and can be attached to your ATV in
seconds.
Made from lightweight alloy for easy handling. Equipped with 2 turbo
nozzles which give a wider spray per nozzle (2m spray wirth overall) and are less accurate than
the precision booms. This widespray boom is also available in 3.6m (12ft) spread width.
Developed for light and infrequent use for small holdings.
A hedgerow cut off kit can be added to shut off one of the nozzles if you require a narrower spray width. An optional hedgerow swing arm is available to set the boom out to the side to allow you to spray to the side of your ATV rather that directly behind.
Q. Is the Quad-X boom easily attached to a quad?
A. Yes, it has a quick fit system that allows you to attach it in seconds. You simply place the drop downs over the bars of the ATV back rack and tighten them up with the black flywheels. You do not need any tools to fit the boom to your quad.
Q. How do I connect the boom to my Quad-X sprayer?
A. Cut the sprayer hose near where the pipe comes out of the pump. Insert the T-piece supplied on the end of the boom hose between the cut sprayer hose. Tighten the hose clips supplied with a flat head screwdriver.
Q. How many nozzles does this boom have?
A. It comes with 2 turbo nozzles which gives a wider spray than the precision nozzles on the range of Quad-X precision booms.
Q. How can I attach the boom to make it spray to the side of the quad rather than directly behind?
A. You need to purchase the optional hedgerow swing arm which will allow you to set the boom out to the side of your ATV.
Q. Is it possible to turn one of the nozzles off, for a narrower spray?
A. You you need to purchase the additional hedgerow cut off kit which would allow you to turn off one of the nozzles when required.
Q. Can I use the sprayer handlance and boom at the same time?
A. You cannot use the boom and the handlance s
imultaneously , but a tap is supplied with the boom to allow you to switch beteween using the boom and the handlance.
