This precision boom comes equipped with 10 precision nozzles giving a 4.8m (16ft) spray width. Superior to the widespray booms, they are equipped with precision nozzles for accurate spraying. The precision nozzles spray larger droplets which are less affected by the wind making the Quad-X precision boom ideal for frequent use in most weather conditions.
It is corrosion proof and made from lightweight alloy for easy handling. Models giving a smaller spray width are available: 1.5m (5ft) and 3.35m. Folding arms on the boom make for easy transportation.
An optional hedgerow cut off kit can be added to shut off one of the nozzles if you require a narrower spray width. Or if you want to shut off an entire wing of the boom, you can choose the multiple cut off position model.
Q. What Quad-X sprayers are suitable for the 16ft Precision Boom?
A. The Quad-X Eco, Pro and the Prospray Elite are all suitable to run the 16ft Precision Boom.
Q. Is the Quad-X boom easily attached to a quad?
A. Yes, it has a quick fit system that allows you to attach it in seconds. You simply place the drop downs over the bars of the ATV back rack and tighten them up with the black flywheels. You do not need any tools to fit the boom to your quad.
Q. How do I connect the boom to my Quad-X sprayer?
A. Cut the sprayer hose near where the pipe comes out of the pump. Insert the T-piece supplied on the end of the boom hose between the cut sprayer hose. Tighten the hose clips supplied with a flat head screwdriver.

Q. Is it possible to turn one of the nozzles off, for a narrower spray?

Q. Can I use the sprayer handlance and boom at the same time?
A. You cannot use the boom and the handlance simultaneously, but a tap is supplied with the boom to allow you to switch between using the boom and the handlance.
Q. Do the sides of the Precision Boom fold up?
A. Yes, they fold up to allow the Precision Boom to be stored easily.
