Q. What is the cutting with of the Wildcut™ mower?
A. The cutting width is approximately 1.2m
Q. What make are the engines?
A. Our range of mowers are
equipped with Briggs and Stratton engines. They have proven to be very
reliable and offer a great nationwide service network. The v-twin commercial engines carry a 2 year warranty.
Q. What sort of blades are on the Wildcut™ mower?
A. The Wildcut™ mower is fitted
with hardened swinging tips on either end of a single rotor. This
ensures that the ends of the blades are able to travel at very high
speeds. This gives the Wildcut™ blades great momentum making this atv
mower ideal for topping.
Q. Why would I need to add the option of a momentum dynamo?
A. The momentum dynamo can be
added to increase the wildcut™ mowers capability. If you are just doing
light grass topping the momentum dynamo would not be needed. If you
want to cut heavy material like rushes or bracken we would recommend
this option to help maintain rpm and blade speed.
Q. Can I use the wildcut™ mower if I am in a stoney area?
A. The Wildcut™ mower is not
suitable if there are stones in the area you want to mow. The Wildcut™
rotary mower has swinging tips which are designed to fold back on
themselves if you strike a small stone. However if there are larger
stones present it may cause damage to your blades. If you need to top
an area where there may be stones, we would recommend using the Quad-X
Flail mower or Power Shredder™.
Q. What size of quad do I need to tow the Wildcut™ Mower?
A. The size of quad needed will
depend on the terrain you are mowing and the density of the vegetation.
If you are on reasonable flat pasture a 250cc should be fine. In very
rough terrain you may benefit from 4 wheel drive. In extremely rough
conditions the quad may have a problem with grip and it may be helpful
to add weight to the front rack of the quad.
